It has been way too long! 8 months 16 days to be exact. And for that I am truly sorry. Permit me to explain why I have been MIA (apart from the fact that writing was never really my calling).
As you might recall, I was expecting our second baby......

I enjoyed my pregnancy and luckily had no complications which was great because I still had to run after little Jeremiah who has a lot of energy... sigh.....

I then travelled to the UK (my hometown being Cardiff) 2 months before baby Libby's due date - 25/07/2016. She was in no hurry to meet the world. She came fashionably late on 28/07/2016. She weighed 3.42kg (7.2Ibs) which was surprisingly the same birth weight as Jeremiah!

Jeremiah meets Elizabeth (Libby)
The picture says it all! I felt complete. However, Jeremiah was extremely confused as to why mummy was always attending to 'some' baby who came out of nowhere! (more on that in another post).

Prenatal workout and exclusive breastfeeding helped me snap back in just 7 days! So I can testify that staying fit during pregnancy makes a huge difference. I only gained 3.5kg! From 75kg I weighed an amazing 78.5kg a week after!

Libby looking extremely nourished from the exclusive breastfeeding in just 2 weeks!

However, keeping Libby looking this cute and chubby (doing baby friendly) came at a cost. Weight Gain (Sad Face). This is me at 82.5kg. Which is 7kg (approx. 15Ibs) heavier than my prenatal weight. Uuuuuuurrrgggghhhh. Now do not get me wrong, This is an achievement in comparison to when I had Jeremiah, so I am taking my weight loss journey one day at a time, enjoying motherhood and nursing with my small A /B cup (when breasts are filled with Libby's goodies) breasts.

Seeing as am a huge advocate of balancing wife and motherly duties,I have been spending a lot of quality time with TY. My 3rd baby. To successfully do so, both Jeremiah and Libby are on a strict-ish routine. So far so good.

Libby is now 6 months and she is flourishing. This is her at her baby dedication service.

I started an NGO in 2016 with a friend of mine called FIGO FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT. I hope it will be fully functional by the end of this year. So I am looking forward to that.
I will start sharing posts on some things that have been happening in the last 8 months. I will call these posts "THROW BACK TO ......" Some upcoming posts include my childbirth experience, the pros and cons of exclusive breastfeeding, sex life after two kids, TY finally steps up as a father, keeping up appearances in this economy, bringing a less privileged village girl into my home only to find out she is a Lagos street girl (will definitely find a better title for this by then), back to Uganda with my babies, the struggle is real - losing my postnatal baby weight, the importance of God parents, body goals - my ideal body, hotter in marriage, Nicole Chikwe - Beautiful, Successful, Wife and Mother, How does she do it? and many more. Stay tuned Lovelies.
