CHESTER Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmates are (now) remembering their late frontman in an emotional message days after his death.

The group shared a message on their Facebook page thanking fans for their support after his tragic and to a lot of fans - shocking suicide.

The message indicates that Bennington’s bandmates are still struggling to come to terms with his unexpected death last week. According to sources, he is believed to have been found hanged at his home in California on Thursday – the same morning the band released a new song – hence his death is being treated as a suspected suicide.

They have paid tribute to him in a moving statement, admitting “shockwaves of grief and denial are still sweeping through our family”. The statement also acknowledged Chester’s battle with his personal demons, which he “fearlessly put on display” in his songs.

It reads: “Dear Chester, “Our hearts are broken. The shockwaves of grief and denial are still sweeping through our family as we come to grips with what has happened.

"You touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized [sic]... "Your absence leaves a void that can never be filled—a boisterous, funny, ambitious, creative, kind, generous voice in the room is missing.

"We’re trying to remind ourselves that the demons who took you away from us were always part of the deal. "After all, it was the way you sang about those demons that made everyone fall in love with you in the first place. You fearlessly put them on display, and in doing so, brought us together and taught us to be more human. You had the biggest heart, and managed to wear it on your sleeve...

"While we don’t know what path our future may take, we know that each of our lives was made better by you. "Thank you for that gift. We love you, and miss you so much. Until we see you again, LP."

The note also reveals that Chester's widow Talinda and their children appreciate the outpouring of love and support from fans across the globe. The bandmates add: "In the past few days, we’ve seen an outpouring of love and support, both public and private, from around the world. "Talinda and the family appreciate it, and want the world to know that you were the best husband, son, and father; the family will never be whole without you."

It is very evident that his band mates care deeply for him. The question most of us might ask ourselves is — why would a man with 6 kids commit suicide? It's shocking. Totally unexpected.

Most of us have friends that need us!

But the truth is we are also trying to face our own challenges. However, we must learn to sacrifice time and exercise patience in our relationships. Otherwise all we are left with is, could I have done anything different to save his life? Should I have gone around hudhiuedmore? Should I have called more often? Was I the friend that he/she needed me to be?

Whatever question it is, we should avoid it. Call that troubled friend. If you can help in anyway, do it. Dig deeper. Or else, you will be consumed with guilt.
